One thing that we can't seem to escape anymore is home automation, I mean, who would want to? Smart phones have given normal people so much more control over their life that they've never had before. As a result, it's given the historic dwelling known as your home a chance to start catching up! Some of these have a steep price still, but as this kind of technology becomes more common place and competitive in the market, I think we'll start to see even more capable devices and lower prices. I wanted to take a look at some of the ways you can make your home a little smarter, save some time, save some money, and in some cases, gain some peace of mind.
We always like to make sure we're taking a look at the newest stuff to hit the market so you don't miss anything, and every now and then, we like to make sure we're showing you the stuff that hasn't even gotten the chance to get that far! Here's a look at some of the Up n Coming from Kickstarter that we think are worth keeping an eye out for!

One thing that's always had an interest with me was finding out what it'd take to set up my own home surveillance system? I don't live in a terrible area, but crime isn't unheard of either. A security system can be confusing and not easily understood. Some may be intimidated by its price tag, but there are some companies like LaView™ that offers inexpensive DIY kits. When it's all said and done, there isn't much more evidence beyond the fact that getting someone caught on camera is priceless, as opposed to just sounding an alarm for a home intruder. A home surveillance system has the ability to document and prove someone was there, which could potentially lead to an arrest. This is why today we're going to take a closer look at the LaView™ CUBE series 8 Channel Complete Security System, LV-KD5184C-G5.
Complete with the Led Zeppelin music, check out the latest trailer for the X-Men: Days of Future Past. See the sentinels, and finally, a decent look at the characters in the past, as they bring their team together.
The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
There's still a huge part of me that won't ever grow up. I'm quickly approach the second anniversary of turning 29, I'm married, and have kids, and every now and then I debate racing the kids for first dibs on the Xbox or buying them air-soft guns for my own fun. This is why today we're taking a look at one thing that's especially fun to every guy out there, we'll be taking a look at Mega Bloks and their Halo, UNSC Quad Walker set.
We've said it before, guns are just always an area we're drawn to. But what good is the knowledge if you don't have the right skills? Field & Stream in association with Weldon Owen produced a book for just that, The Total Gun Manual, giving you 335 skills you need to know for rifles, shot guns, and everything else gun related.
Two things that drive my life are music and technology, so I'm always pretty happy to see things that start to combine the two of them. Today I wanted to take a look at the Xtream H3 Bluetooth Headphones from Adesso. Designed to store in a compact form, these over ear phones are going to be put to the test!

There's a lot that goes into choosing the components when you're building your own multi-copter, as we saw in our last article outlining the components. Now that we're ready to start building, we run into a whole new set of challenges. We have to make sure everything works together!
More and more, it's hard to go anywhere without seeing the word Bluetooth plastered up everywhere. From headsets to cars, it's pretty much everywhere, but honestly, that's because of the convenience and simplicity it offers. The most frequently sought after Bluetooth technology that we see growing non-stop are speakers. Today we'll be looking at one set of Bluetooth speakers, with a bit of added functionality, the Xtream S3 from Adesso.

Today we'll be taking a look at the 24 pack soft cooler from Polar Bear. In the past I've had some soft coolers that just didn't measure up; let's see how this one does.
The Detroit Autorama opened its doors to the public in the first weekend of March, in what is expected to be the largest Autorama show of the year. Making 15 stops cross the country, car owners gathered to show off their classic and custom rides, to crowds that numbered upwards of an anticipated 150,000 viewers in Detroit alone.
With lots of local talent gathering in the Motor City, we were able to bring you a lot of great coverage. Click the images below to take a tour of the show, seeing everything from the show cars, racers, rat rods, and even a few stops with the vendors!
Not that any of us have a hard time with keeping under the speed limit, having a decent radar detector can give us a little extra peace of mind. What's even more interesting is seeing it paired with smart phones for more on the spot use of that reporting. Today we'll be checking out the iRadar, a police radar detector that runs in parallel with their app, creating a community reporting system.
It's a great idea: drinks delivered right to your door. Here at Brobility, we're fans of whiskey. We're all familiar with the bigger names, but who wants to spend $50 for a bottle just to try it out? That's where Flaviar comes in, offering sampling packs of whiskey, gin, bourbon, and cognac - they have something for everyone.
Being an outdoors man really covers a lot of areas: survival skills, hunting, and even first aid. However, one area that probably gets largely overlooked, is learning to cook what you catch. From light butchering, to recipes for the trail, The Wild Chef is aimed at the avid hunter. Recipes are simple, and even talk about cooking over a fire.
It happens to all of us at some point, we need to learn to cook. Whether it's something quick or something you spend all day preparing, it'll happen. That's why today I wanted to take a look at the only baking mat that makes sense, the Non-Stick Baking Mat from Simple Home Creations.
Winter just doesn't want to end for most people, but at least one thing you shouldn't have to worry about is getting around with a solid boot! Designed for hiking, the Revel II will help you get where you want to go in rain or snow, look good, and stay comfortable.
On a mission to build a quad-copter, I'm documenting EVERYTHING, and sharing the experience with you. There's a lot to take in, but it certainly isn't anything too big for any of us. Take a look at the first part of our series as we give an overview of the components.
It's mid February, and we're guessing nearly everyone has already fallen off those ambitious new years resolutions. The reality of the world is, you never know when a disaster will strike. Sink holes, tornados, flooding, or earth quakes, the list goes on. Being prepared is always a smart plan, but sometimes, we miss things, and sometimes there are just too many unforeseeable things. This is why today we're happy to be taking a look at the Disaster Survival Guide from Weldon Owen, and give you an idea of the things you need to be prepared for anything.
I've been working with computers for well over a decade, everything from building them to programming them. I'll always push for power, but there's not too many things I get as picky over as the mouse. Even though this doesn't affect performance in any straight forward way, it'll get more direct usage than nearly anything else. Today we'll be taking a look at the Sharkk Wired Gaming Mouse.
One thing I never leave home without is a nice pair of headphones. I'm probably a little more picky about my choices in headphones than most people too, and not because of any professional career, but because when I put them on, it's usually for eight hours at a time. Today we'll be taking a look at the Solid Bass over-ear headphones from Audio-Technica.
Grilling is my favorite way to cook, and sure, a set of dollar store tongs and a fork from the kitchen will work, but is that really how you want to grill? If you want to do it right, anyone will tell you to get the right tools for the job. Today we'll be taking a look at the 20 Piece Grilling Set from Mr Bar-B-Q, showing you how to be prepared for your next outdoor party.
One thing I really look forward to is being able to kick back for a few and do some gaming. Keeping things comfortable and getting better sound and a feel for the game are all what we want. So that's why we wanted to take a really close look at the Pulse BoomChair, a wireless gaming chair.
Typically bourbon is aged in a newly charred oak barrel, but New Holland Breweriy took a new approach, and aged it in used beer barrels to make their simple named, "Beer Barrel Bourbon". In a flip from their Dragons Milk Beer, which is beer aged in bourbon barrels, they've walked into a new unique way of producing their alcohol, reusing the barrels between each blend. We don't know if they just keep recycling their barrels, but we're definitely fans of what they're kicking out.
There's about a million different ways to make the same deck of cards, so when we see one that really stands out, it's worth mentioning. Today we'll be taking a look at the Upper Hand Playing Cards, from Exuvius. The name is pretty right on with this deck of cards, printed on them are tips to keep you with the upper hand in life. They aren't specific to poker or any card game, but that's what keeps them entertaining.
So what if it's the middle of January? There's always time to hit the grill! There are a lot of cook books out there, and a good chunk of them are probably for the grill, but Grill Master stands out. Instead of focusing on specialty grills, equipment, and ingredients, Grill Master focuses on typical grills and doesn't go too far out from the every day grocery store.
DIY projects are comfortably among our favorite things to do. A while back we took a look at the Kinkajou Bottle Cutter, and one thing we really loved was how simple it was to use. We've seen people make their own drinking glasses, pendant lights, whatever, if you google around, you'll find a lot of ideas, but one that we didn't think of was how to make some fun wine glasses. That's where the Jabiru comes in, with this stems, made to fit in the mouth of your bottles.
Designed to keep your drinks cooler for longer, and not water them down, the ice ball is the ideal fit for your drinks. From coffee drinks to hard liquor, the ice ball is thicker, and with less surface area than traditional ice cubes. It gives off its cold, without melting and watering down your drinks as fast, lasting up to a couple of hours, this is a perfect solution for someone who wants their drinks to last.
Every guy out there loves to grill, but I'm just guessing few have ever gone as far as Michael Chiarello. Live Fire will walk you through every facet of grilling, both over the grill, and over your own fire pits. From what wood to use, great recipes, to tools of the trade.
One thing that I'm a huge fan of is anything that's green. Obviously green technology doesn't always make sense, because it can have some steep prices at times, but honestly, it's a great move for a number of reasons. Today I'll be taking a look at the JOOS Orange Solar Charger. The JOOS Orange is a portable solar charger with its own internal battery, so you should be able to get the most use out of this one.
Carhartt has been doing boots right for a long time, and have found a way to get you through almost everything. Today we'll be taking a look at one of their new boots, a 6 inch suede wedge boot. This boot will get you through just about anything you can throw at it, and it's got a nice clean cut look to it, making it a winner whether you're at work or on a night out.
